What is the role of the oil production wellhead?

Oil production wellheads are wellheads used for oil production, such as spouting wells and mechanical oil production wells. The oil production wellhead is the main equipment for controlling and regulating the oil and gas production in the upper part of the oil and gas well. The oil production wellhead device is mainly composed of casing head, tubing head and oil (gas) tree body.

The oil production wellhead device has the following main functions:

(1) Connect each layer of casing downhole to seal the annular space of each layer of casing and bear the weight of the casing.

(2) Suspend tubing and downhole tools, support the weight of all tubing strings in the well, and seal the annular space between tubing and casing.

(3) Control and regulate oil well production.

(4) Ensure the construction of various downhole operations, facilitate the construction of well killing operations, tripping operations and other measures, and carry out daily production management such as pressure measurement and wax removal.

(5) Obtain oil pressure and casing pressure data

The production wellhead is also called a Christmas tree. An oil production wellhead device, used for testing oil and gas after completion of oil (gas) wells or for oil production, such as spouting wells and mechanical oil production wells. It is composed of tubing hanger, multiple gates, three-way or four-way, and is directly installed on the casing head. An oil production wellhead with an oil pipeline on one side is called a single-wing oil production wellhead. If there are oil pipelines on both sides, it is called a two-wing oil production wellhead. The oil production wellhead device is equipped with a nozzle (nozzle), which can control oil and gas production by replacing nozzles with different inner diameters.
